Prescription use: Tadalafil is a prescription PDE5 inhibitor used to treat erectile dysfunction. It helps increase blood flow during sexual stimulation and does not automatically cause an erection or increase sexual desire.
Typical prescribed dosage: For as-needed treatment, the usual starting dose is 10 mg before anticipated sexual activity. A clinician may adjust this to 5 mg or 20 mg. Daily treatment generally starts at 2.5 mg and may be increased to 5 mg. It should not be taken more than once daily.
